About AAF:
We are a campus organization affiliated with the American Advertising Federation that strives for excellence in advertising. We love new ideas and differing points of view, so all majors and skill sets are welcome. One of our main goals is to help students like you develop themselves professionally and give our members an edge in their classes, internships and real world jobs! We accomplish this by providing you with opportunities to gain real experience and be able to market yourself through a variety of ways:
- Visiting real advertising agencies in cities like St. Louis, KC, Chicago and New York throughout the year.
- Networking with industry professionals and MU professors.
- Learning from your peers who have been there and done that.
- Resume and Professional workshops to prepare you for the big interview!
- Being a part of our In-House Ad Agency, this year we have two clients Literacy Kansas City and ThinkFirst Missouri. Literacy KC’s campaign will be geared toward the creative and putting together some traditional advertising. Then we will be working with ThinkFirst Missouri on a social media and PR driven campaign. Email our VP of In-House, Kayla Blevins at kmb6x6@mail.missouri.edu for more info!
- Participate in the National Student Advertising Competition or NSAC on a multimillion dollar integrated campaign for Nissan that will target multicultural millennials. Our NSAC team competes in Kansas City in April and will present for Nissan executives and the agency they are currently working with. There are opportunities for creative work, research, PR, Social Media, production and more! Contact our AE of NSAC, Natasha Desai at desai.natasha@gmail.com for more information and you can fill and interest form out here à http://www.tinyurl.com/mizzounsacinterest
